Public Lumber Company strictly maintains controls on the information posted to this site. We do not share the information our users provide with anyone. All payment information, credit card numbers, address, telephone and other personal information are kept for internal use only. No 3rd party will ever view personal information without your express permission. For example, if you order from Publiclumber.com, we will provide a courier or shipping company with your delivery address and a contact telephone number for you. Nothing else will be provided to anyone not authorized to view that information. Please contact us with any questions.

Pricing Policies:

From time to time wood prices change. If we make a mistake we will do our best to rectify the pricing. Most of our products are commodity priced and are subject to change based on market conditions. If we experience a situation where we are out of stock or an item you order, your price may increase based on our ability to acquire something at a higher price.

We utilize UPS almost exclusively for shipping and rely on their up-to-date database to provide our shipping pricing. Occasionally, their system and ours do not see eye-to-eye. When there are mistakes on your invoice with respect to shipping, we will notify you immediately of the change in your shipping price. Here it comes: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING PRICE MISTAKES BASED ON YOUR ORDER FOR WHATEVER REASON. PUBLIC LUMBER COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THE SHIPPING PRICE ON ANY ITEM, AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO CONVEYANCE OF YOUR ITEMS TO A CARRIER. THIS PRICE CHANGE WILL BE BASED ON CURRENT COSTS AVAILABLE THAT APPLY TO AN ITEM BASED ON STANDARDS AND COSTS PROVIDED TO US BY ANY CARRIER CHOSEN BY US OR OUR CUSTOMER (YOU). IN THE EVENT OF AN ERROR IN OUR AUTOMATIC SHIPPING PRICE CALCULATION, OUR CUSTOMER (YOU) HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE THE TRANSACTION AT ANY TIME. IF YOU CHOOSE TO CONTINUE THE TRANSACTION, YOU ARE BOUND BY THIS STAEMENT.

Our Return Policy:

If, by chance you are dissatisfied with a product or a specifcation, we will accept the product for exchange or credit if we are notified within 5 days of receipt.

Please request a return by emailing a note explaining your issue with the order, your full order information, your name, email, telephone number, and any other information required to explain to us in full, the reason for your dissatisfaction.

All returns to us for exchange, replacement or credit are to be shipped to us via private courier (e.g UPS or FedEx) or a method with a traceable number (e.g. registered mail or common carrier). All shipping costs for returns are to be paid by the shipper (i.e. you, our customer). If it is deemed that we can replace the product, we will return those items to you postage or freight prepaid.

All refunds will be posted to your account only after we receive the product here at our facility. All refunds for lost products will be posted after the carrier's period of investigation has expired, and only after the claim has been honored. (Please refer to carrier's guidelines - UPS, R&L Carriers, etc).
